Petit Verdot
Our Howell Mountain Petit Verdot is hauntingly dark in the glass. Hailing from only a few rows planted at Beatty Ranch, these vines struggle to yield tiny concentrated berries that are full of rich complex flavors. This wine needs time to breathe upon opening up, but when it does it reveals brooding aromas of wild blackberries, blueberry liquor, lavender, violets, graphite, and leather. Full bodied and structured to last, this wine could perhaps have the longest aging potential of the wines in our portfolio. On the palate, the wine is deep and dark, and finishes long with mouthwatering acidity and grip rounding out the multi-layered mouth feel.
